Material Selection

This is where you start to see materials that were selected for your site. There is a wide variety of materials that have been selected for you based on your preferences. Here are some examples of some of the materials we use & services we provide.

Natural Stone Products – Sandstone (path, steps, or display), Blue Stone, Grindstone, Fieldstone, Gravels, and Boulders

Paving Stones – Concrete paver products from Unilock Products in Brighton, Michigan offer a variety of paver and retaining wall products to suit your style.

Mulch – Hardwood, Cedar, and Pine are the most commonly available. We prefer to use shredded mulch for its ability to hold moisture, prevent weeds, and add nutrients to the soil when it decomposes.

Edging – We offer two primary forms, Natural and Black Diamond edging. Aluminum edging is also available upon request. Natural edging simply consists of cutting a trench that would be filled with mulch to form a clean edge. Black Diamond is a plastic product that will provide additional elevated separation from your lawn. Aluminum Edging provides a sharp, clean, semi-visible barrier for your planting beds.

Topsoil – Used primarily as amendment to soil to prepare for a lawn, but also used in planting beds.

Compost – Used solely as a planting bed amendment. Consists of recycled organic matter.

Landscape Lighting – We use products by Kichler and Vista.
